Introduced in 1932, 3 Musketeers originally came as three smaller chocolate bars in one package, with chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry flavored centers. When wartime shortages made ingredients more difficult to obtain, the candy was simplified to the chocolate version that became the classic we know today.
